Troubleshooting Adobe Flash Problems
The VisualTour Viewer requires Adobe Flash® 7.0 or greater to work properly. If you are seeing a black screen when you try to view a tour, it is very likely that Flash isn't installed properly on your computer. To ensure that you have Flash working properly, use the following instructions:
1. Verify Your Flash Installation
Click here to visit Adobe's site and check to see if you have the latest version of Flash installed and operating correctly. You should see a rectangular box at the top of the page that says “Adobe Flash Player Successfully Installed”. In a smaller rectangular box it will say “You have Version xx.xx.xx installed.” Look down the page a little further and see if you have the latest verson installed.
If you need to install the latest version of Flash, proceed to the Step 2. If you have verified the current version of Flash is installed and working properly yet the tour still does not load, skip to Step 3.
2. Install Adobe Flash
Click here to install the latest version of Flash. If prompted, you do not need to install any additional software such as the Yahoo! toolbar. Select the “Install Now” button. You should receive a message stating that Flash was installed properly and you should see the Flash animation at the end of the installation. Try running your tour at this point. If Flash doesn't install properly or the tour still does not load, proceed to Step 3.
3. Uninstall Adobe Flash
If Flash doesn't install properly or operate normally, you will need to uninstall it completely. Click here and follow the steps provided to uninstall Flash. Once uninstallation is complete, return to Step 2 above to reinstall Flash. If it installs correctly you should be able to run the tour. If the tour still doesn't load, proceed to Step 4.
